Windows went through this BIIIG change by adding isometric and flipping windows called Aeroglass. It had the right idea of allowing you to see all your open windows
and flip through them like a graphic card catalog. Using the mouse scroll wheel to flip through them was epilepsy-inducing, and then mobile phones and flat surfaces became hot again, and it was dropped forever.
